History: Keith West purchased this company in August 1991, from Mr. W. A. Skelton. Prior to the purchase, Mr. Skelton operated as W. A. Skelton Associates, Inc. for thirty plus years. Mr. Skelton purchased the company from Mr. Joe Clark who founded it in 1913 and operated as Clark Building Materials. This company has operated continuously under each of these owners as a supplier of commercial construction and specialty materials.

West Architectural Specialties, Inc. is a member of Associated General Contractors, Associated Builders and Contractors, and National Federation of Independent Businesses.

Keith West is a member of Construction Specifications Institute, and is a member of the Mississippi and the Gulf Coast chapter. He currently serves as co chairman of the certification committee of the Gulf States region. He has been a member for 13 years, and has earned the Construction Document Technologist certification (CDT). He has over thirty years of construction experience having been employed as a glass subcontractor in Jackson, employed as a general contractor in Dallas Texas, and architectural inspector and owner’s representative on a $ 23.5 million dollar retirement center in Madison Mississippi prior to buying this company. This experience offers construction perspective regardless of the customer’s needs.
